The Democratic Republic of the Congo is still very much developing, with both high birth and death rates. The average life expectancy is very low, and the infant mortality rate is high. With a majority of the population below working age, the birth rates are high because many children are not expected to survive to adulthood.  The migration is negative due to a civil war right now. In contrast to my PED, Germany, the Democratic Republic of the Congo is in the early stages on the DTM, with its large birth and death rates.
