In conclusion, we can see that one of the reasons why Argentina has a lower UN HDI ranking compared to Madagascar is due to its geography. Spatially, Argentina has 5 bordering countries to trade with, unlike Madagascar. Madagascar has no bordering territories or countries since it is off the coast of Mozambique by at least 200 miles. This spatial factor allows Argentina to have a greater advantage with the gathering of resources than most countries.
